Woodstock Wooden Low Rise Bed Frame

Woodstock Wooden Low Rise Bed Frame in white

The Woodstock bed is manufactured from solid ash and ash veneer. The white frame finish is a matt, rather than gloss.

The headboard is 100cm high, while there is an underbed clearance of 22cm, which is a good height if you want to store away some items underneath.

In the picture it looks like the mattress is the same level as the footboard, and this will entirely depend on the  depth of your mattress. The distance from the slats to the top of the footboard is 23.7cm, so if your mattress is the same depth (23.7cm) then their level would be the same.

Solid vs. Sprung Slat Base

The Woodstock Wooden Low Rise Bed Frame can be bought with either solid slat or sprung slat base. The sprung slat option is slightly more expensive, about £59-£79 depending on the size.

Both the solid and sprung slats are made of wood, if you upgrade to the sprung slats there is a metal frame which holds them. Here are their main features:

  • Generally sprung slats support your mattress better since they have a slightly curved shape. This allows them to offer better shock absorption and cushioned support.
  • On the other hand solid slats offer a more firmer and solid foundation for your mattress.

Keep in mind that there is a central support leg on the double and king sizes, which gives it greater support and stability.
